Register at a bunch, even if you dont tell people. They'll often send you web coupons, and more coupons and deals when the baby is born. We liked Target especially because it is accessible, wide price range, and my kids are 2 and 3, and Im still getting $3 off diaper coupons emailed. When you can do that on a $8 pack, thats a big savings.

Babies-r-us, defintely has a bigger selection, but not everyone on your guestlist will be able to afford it. So the next best thing would be Target. you can really find alot online that they normally wouldn't offer in thier stores. This feature is wonderful for any out-of-towners who don't want to lug the gifts to the shower but would rather have it sent to you ahead of time. Wal-mart has the same feature but be careful that you also go to the stores to update your registry, cause not every one has web access. My problem with Wal-mart right now is that I signed up for so much online that when I went to the gift registry kiosk, it never showed up! But if you go online it's there! I know that everyone thats going to be shopping at Wal-mart does not have internet access. So I have to personally go and register for it all again! Hope I helped.

Target has a great registry, both the in-store and online access are great, very user-friendly and even if you have friends and family that do not have a local Target store, they can still order online. They also do a GREAT job with the online orders through the registry and their selection of baby stuff is pretty great. Target.com is the site address! Good luck!

I think Babies R' Us is fantastic! When I opened up a gift registry with them they gave me a TON of free goodies and flyers. They can be expensive, but they have a HUGE selection of baby stuff. I would also give target a try. Their selection isn't the greatest but their prices are reasonable....

I have found that Babies R Us has the best selection plus you anyone can access it from the internet(nice if someone doesn't live near you) but they Babies R Us can be a bit pricey-but it can also give people a good idea so that they can find a deal somewhere else.
Target and Walmart are also nice.

I registered at Target. I liked their selection but I wish I would've looked into their return policy.
My mother, for my shower in April bought me a convertible car seat. I obviously didn't' use it until my daughter was out of her infant carrier. (She was born in July and I moved her in Nov.) after a child safety seat check, we discovered my seat was broken and needed to be replaced.
Target WOULD NOT take it back cuz it was 3 months after the purchase date, even though she had not even been in the seat.
Target also will not let you return more than 2 things a YEAR without a receipt. So if you get 4 things that you don't want and there is no receipt, you can not return 2 of them.
i don't know how return policies are at other stores.
i would check though! Good luck!

i had one at target and hated it. i only did it a month before the shower, but they discontinued half of the items that i had selected! you would think they would've given me a heads-up about this when i turned in my registry. babies-r-us really isn't all that expensive and they have the BEST selection of items, especially nipples. good luck! and congrats!!!!!

babies R us b/c there's usually one nearby and they ty to keep the same merchandise available at all locations.
Walmart and Target are hit or miss. they sometimes have better prices, but you can never find anything on the registry.
besides, the prices aren't THAT much cheaper than babies R us AND you can wrap your gift for free right at the store.

I would register at more than one place b/c everyone budget is different. Babies R Us will probably have everything you need but everyone may not be able to afford a gift from there so I would try
1. Target
2. Wal-Mart
3. Burlington
Between those stores you will have more than enough
