ok is this really bad im 13 years old and i go to bed at 11:45 and i lay in my bed with my eyes shut till like about 2 hours then i wake up at like 9 am how can i fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer please cuz i need advice cuz i dont now what i am gonna do in the school year last year i failed some tests cuz i was so tired

avoid caffeine two hours before bed time, take a warm bath before bed to calm you down go to bed a little earlier do not have the TV one you can have calming music to help and make sure your room is a comfortable environment for you. And if this does not help talk to your parents and they can take you to the doctor you may have insomnia and that is only helped with medication.

Gentle strtching, hatha yoga, will helop reduce tension. There are *asanas* just for getting to sleep. I don't want to confuse you with names that make no sense to you, so google the subject.
It really does help to stretch and relax the muscles.

And reading helps too. Read something that is difficult to understand, like a textbook.

Try some herb tea, like chamomile or some with skullcap and lavendar.

I take valerian capsules. Gentle herbal root.

Nice warm baths and clean sheets and pjs help too.

Have you tried meditaion? Focusing on something and returning your focus as it drifts away.

This really something you need to talk with partents about too. Maybe see a doctor? But you can probably just find a way to relax more. Like no caffeene...

Some say you can count till hundreds...... but this did never work on me .... I pray sometimes and i fall asleep ....... i read and i also fall asleep, or .. what works best on me .... i just think of something nice that happened and i fall asleep smiling.
Before going to sleep have a long bath, and dress cotton .... or nothing .... use white beddings... and will be ok.

Try looking the tele-searching channels for somewhat, they are beautiful stupid. Or you would acquire a leisure CD and play it quietly on your room whilst you pass to mattress, or learn a booklet in low lighting fixtures--it makes your eyes worn out rather speedily. Sometimes a small glass of alcohol will aid you too, whatever transparent and now not fizzy like Jim Beam or a Scotch. Just a small quantity despite the fact that!!

Oh yeah... this is bad. Read a book... like a dictionary (super boring, yet you learn from it).... it's sure to make you fall asleep faster than just lying there and having endless thoughts.
