almost 60 days after the card had been cancelled. They are saying that it needs to be investigated. Is this bank fraud. Shouldn't that card have come up invalid when someone tried to use it???? Is the bank responsible for replacing this money?

you need to call the bank and find out what is happening....the hot-carded card....should've come up stolen when used and then if at a merchant, they should have confiscated it...depending on your state laws, you shouldn't be liable for this money if you can prove that it was hot-carded...got any paperwork that has the date and a signature on it?? if so, you're pretty much home free
