when you are definately not going to be there or find out about it.. is this acceptable? also, would you want to be told about it in some way if that could possibly happen? (asked for a friend who is too nervous to register herself!)

i had a hard time understanding the question, but i'll try to answer from the best of my ability. I was in a relationship for 2 1/2 years and found out at the end that he had cheated on me 3 times. When it comes down to it I will never be with a cheater again (my husband and i have had this talk) but as for would i want to find out? no... the amount of hurt i went threw when i found out he had cheated on me was a world more then just the normal break up hurt. I would have liked him the very first time he cheated on me to have just broken up with me and that been it. he couldda make up some excuse about not liking me anymore. but when you are with someone whom you thought loved you but you find out they do this time and time again then you feel terrible about yoruself and love in general! As for a "Very odd night out" you know your spouse, and you know if this was just a drunken night out that will never happen again, or if it's something that has started. either way i don't think that this situation should not go "unpunished" and that whoevers husband is doing this deserves to be in a motel for a couple of nights and having to beg for his wife back!

One's either faithful or not faithful. Spending the "odd night out" doesn't mean anything. In fact, I think it's healthy for each person in a relationship to spend an occasional night spearately with friends.
