Ok...I can't remember the name of the movie..and I haven't watched it completely. But I remember some things about it. Ok, its something that has to do with a family (I believe of 3 or 4: mom, dad and daughter/son) and them going on a road trip. There's this sheriff whose always after them and ends up taking them to a ghost town jail (something like that). If I remember clearly, I believe the sheriff is some kind of monster or something (lol)...its a really weird movie. Can anyone help me here...please??..if you don't know, could you recommend a site that I can use to look for it..thanx

Sounds like Stephen King's Desperation
I remember the book being very similar.. I have not watched the movie yet.. (but do know that they did make one)

I am pretty sure it was based off a Stephen King book called Desparation. Took place in Desparation Nevada where the sheriff and the town was taken over by something. Book was good

maybe the hills have eyes? it's a family on vaca, and the sheriff makes them crash in the desert, and they are taken to a ghost town and eventually killed.

OOOh, there were two like that. Harry Hamlin was in one, and the bad sheriff in the other was Ron Perlman, I think.
