If they're your chickens, put them in a fenced in area and make them worthy to have. I like real eggs compared to what the stores are selling us plus it saves money. You can also have those chicken meals when you don't want so many chickens. I have seen people that have chickens just for these purposes.
If they're not your chickens, let the owner know something needs to be done.

Hmm, do you have a mud porch?? Maybe if you had one you could make a pet door that they can go throught to separate the food fromt the chickens. If you dont have a mudporch, what about a deck? If you have a deck maybe you could have a gate or something with wide enough spaces for the cats but not the chickens to go through. If these dont help, just keep thinking of ways of letting the cats get to the food but not the chickens. Hope you solve this problem!

All I can think of is fence in the yard. Chickens can't fly and would find it difficult to get in
