My friends and I don't really like the mall. There's too much advertizing and it gets annoying. Its too hot where we are to hang out at a park (its like 100 degrees+ on most days) and the pool is annoying too because there's too many little kids everywhere. Our houses get boring too, lol

Any ideas?

When I was a teenager (back in the day), we would hang out at either Perkins or Dunkin' Donuts. They are open 24 hrs so you never have to wonder if they will be open. You could also check out your area community centers, they can be really fun, some have a gym or a skateboard park, etc. You could go browsing Thrift stores for cool retro stuff for your rooms! You could have a totally awesome 80's room or a groovy 70's pad!

Try going and volunteering at a local nursing home, or maybe get to know some of the older people who live around you, see if they need any work done around their house. Elderly people have soooo much knowledge that they love to share, and plus they like the company of younger people. You'll feel better about yourself too if you are doing things to help other people.

If you don't like the mall you can look for places like Putt Putt if those still exist are museums, the zoo, movie theater's, church, the park, six flags, hurricane harbor, the bowling alley, skating ring, pretty much anywhere that's safe.

My friends and I hang out at the college chem lab, even though we aren't in college, we have special permission. We like to mix the solutions and add iodine to pure sodium. The best place for teens is a place to learn.

Do you not have a youth club?

Contact your local council (or whatever it is in America... local government authority) and tell them you need a space of your own!
