I have had it with people who call them selves scientists and self appointed solution makers who keep on ruling out the existence of a creator even though the complexity of life around them and the fact they cannot explain zillions of things point out they might be wrong.
I explain, why is it that science develops crazy theories about the universe and the laws that govern it which happen to be way more far-fetched than the work of a creator ? They admit that the universe is too complex to be governed by chance, and they realize that if earth for instance was to be few centimetres closer or farther from the sun, no life could have existed on it in the first place ! The same thing applies to our own existence, they say there is no way the complexity of our brains, our hearts, the way we breath etc could have evolved from a simple organism that gave birth to this immense Varity of creatures all with a very precise purpose to play in the complex game of life ! And why are we the only creatures to ponder about our existence, why aren’t cows or squirrels making theories and using computers ?! why didn’t they evolve to the level we are now if we evolved from monkeys ? why didn’t some monkeys evolve to our standard ?? all these questions and many many more remain unanswered by the scientific community which keeps on proposing some far fetched “theories”, and for those who are not sure what a theory is, it’s nothing more that a speculation with no hard evidence.
So here we are, in a universe we barely understand, we try to deny the existence of a creator in order to allow our selves to behave like animals and therefore ignore all moral values which by the way, where did we get those values from, and why are they so perfect in making our lives more organised and prevent chaos and mayhem ?!!! if we are mere animals descending from monkeys why do we think steeling for instance is not good, animals do that all the time, and move on with no hard feelings or grudge for each other, the same applies to killing in the animal kingdom…oh and yeh cheating on your girl is also ok in the animal kingdom why do we get upset when that happen to us !!!
Now that the scientific community is stuck and cannot explain how perfect the design of life is they go as far as imagining a new theory which proposes that our universe is one of many other universes and that some of those universes might be so much technologically advanced that they would have the intelligence to simulate our universe just as we today simulate a computer game?? (meaning we are now living in a super massive computer system and on the other side of the screen are super smart green men enjoying their brand new 11 dimensional game !!!! Doesn’t that eerily remind you of something ?? someone intelligent controlling our lives and the laws of nature ??? !!! This is just instance, anything is possible, any thing is acceptable but God, no way !!!!
I never said Science should be ignored and that we should turn to religion only , quite the contrary, I believe that science could be much more productive if it were to introduce the concept of a creator to its dominantly secular belief system, God actually encourages to us to ponder and search for truth in this life because he is confident we will eventually find out the truth about his existence as Albert Einstein said on his death bed: “God is not hiding anything from us, he only wants us to look harder”
Take the hint !
I just wish they open their eyes before it’s too late !
Ps: When I say God I don’t necessarily mean Jesus or the Christian God for that matter, there are other religions too you know, if you really want to know God he will make himself apparent to you all you have to do is go out and look for him, it’s that simple.

Salam !

although i don't agree with your (implied) reasoning over human morals about killing, stealing, and sex, i agree with your other ideas. science should be able to coexist with religion, because they are already codependent on each other in many respects.

although i am a Christian myself, and believe He is the only God, i will try to respect your decision. i also hope my response is not taken in offense to you or others, merely as my opinion.

Quote: "Now that the scientific community is stuck and cannot explain how perfect the design of life is they go as far as imagining a new theory" I understand your argument and your different theories, but life is nowhere near perfect with design, it is very complex and intelligent but over however many thousands and millions of years we've been on earth this could have easily become the 'perfect' we see today. another quote: "So here we are, in a universe we barely understand, we try to deny the existence of a creator in order to allow our selves to behave like animals and therefore ignore all moral values which by the way, where did we get those values from, and why are they so perfect in making our lives more organised and prevent chaos and mayhem ?!!!" Most people are 'in the middle' about the subject. Not sure whether to believe in some holy creator or figure out some other theory. But let me ask you this, since science has no real basis, apart from the big bang theory and other evolutionary theories, and religion has a 2000 year old holy story about god and jesus and his life, nothing will ever be discovered from following a religious life. If you see what im saying, religion cannot progress or reveal anything to us since you have to follow the same routine and read the same bible and have been for the past 2000 years, and it's saying that it's just revealed everything about life, whereas science, new things can be discovered and learnt.

While I see where you're coming from, I think that using the idea of a creator to explain away things in the world around us can often be the "easy way out", or oversimplifying. Thinking back on the past few centuries, we can see that a lot of the scientific innovations that could have been pursued weren't, because the people noticing strange natural phemena didn't think, "hey, that's weird, I wonder why it's doing that and if I could harness the principle driving that action to my own invention that would do something cool for humanity?" Instead they thought, "Oh, the world is a wonderous place because it was created by a great deity, and that is why that curious and strange phenomenon just occurred before my eyes. 'Nuff said." Therefore, I think it is best to leave the idea of a creator out of the picture when examining the scientific world.

Personally speaking, I don't rule out the possibility of some sort of powerful being that could fit into the human idea of God, but nor do I conclusively believe in one. But I'm young and have lots of time to figure out what I believe.

I respect your wish to believe a religion and form your own opinion and follow whatever school of thought you wish.

Even though science cannot explain everything right now, science, in essence is still in its infancy. Just because science cannot explain everything right now doesn't mean that sometime in the future, near or distant, it still will not have the capability to. As we go along, science has had the capability to theorize and test many things we now take as fact.

We once held that the Earth was flat. Scientists, and more precisely, explorers debunked this long-held belief. We also know how to explain why it is round. We know how to explain many things. Like how eggs are fertilized by sperm, how the fetus develops and how it is delivery. We may not able to explain why this happened in our beginnings (in the sense of evolution if you subscribe to that theory). We do know, however, that all species have the drive to procreate in order to propagate the species.

Again, we may not have all the answers to everything, but science always works on how to explain it. It is within our own natural curiosity to find out why and how things happen. And, in my opinion, if man truly just accepted the way things were, never questioned his own existence and what else man could accomplish, man would not have had the drive to further his knowledge and create the marvels we now take for granted including the computer you are using to post this opinion. Science is the field for which has created the world we now live in.

Not really sure you have a question there. What is it you're asking?

Most scientist do believe in some form of "god" and most religious people also believe in and use daily science.
What's the big problem? Science is just a way of understanding what the world is like here and now and how it got that way.

Though some people (fanatics?) try to make a religion out of science that does not negate the reality of the unknowable. Some things are beyond science.

That does not mean religion should replace scientific knowledge with mythology and children's stories.

Stop trying to see them a opposing forces and just accept what you experience. Stop believing dogma (whether it be religious or scientific) and question and explore your reality.

Was there a question there? Did anyone see a question? I just heard ranting and raving. I would rather listen to scientists who are making educated guesses rather than just take for some human's words saying this is how it is! More scientific evidence than biblical. Sorry, scientists get my vote!
