You need the audio driver appropriate to your hardware. We'd need to know what soundcard you have to tell you what driver. Check the manual that came with your system to find out what the sound chip is.

Jeff and Kate, What happens when Windows is re-installed, the drivers for the sound card are overwritten, if you do not have the driver for the sound card, then find out the make and model, go here and register for the free account and search according to your model, and reinstall the driver after downloading it. do you have a PCI sound card? most likely your drivers are gone, figure out the brand and go to the manufacters website and download the drivers that should fix your problem

its unusual. u examine despite if the audio selection and quantity point is on or no longer onUTUBE website.this is while u watch a video then under the show container there r some selection like fullscreen view,pause,e.t.c.,and out of them see the quantity selection and turn on that, it must be on mute mode so disable them i'm confident your difficulty would be solved in any different case touch youtube help website

rightt click my computer \manage \device manager
sound \update driver
if you cant figure out what kind it is 'just go buy a new one and
you will get the driver
they are only 20 bucks

Assuming you can get online and know what kind of soundcard you have. You can either goto their website. ie.. CREATIVE (Registered trademark) or goto driverguide.com and get your drivers from there.
