I mean, he's really really good. We all knew he had wheels, but he has actual NFL QB chops. I haven't been this surprised about a QB since McNabb. I think Vince Young is already better than Vick, and has perennial all-pro potential.

BTW, I couldn't care less about the Titans, so don't go calling me a homer.

did he play well??

guess I must have missed that
...from what I saw he had one of the worst passer ratings in the league last year....

my bad

this is another sad situation where the QB gets all the credit for his teammates playing well

I'm not. Being a Longhorn fan I saw his skills mature into a champion. When he was a freshman he could pass worth beans. By his junior year he had defenses shakin. He should only get better from here and he will break the Madden curse. If I were a Titans fan I would be excited about winning a Super Bowl in the future because he will. They need to call the field in the Rose Bowl, Vince Young Field at the Rose Bowl.

More INTs than TDs last year, a terrible QB rating, he's got the wheels but that is about it. I wouldn't even call him a good QB in the NFL yet. Predominately running QBs have short and uneventful careers in the NFL. Vince Young will have to adapt or he will fail.

I am a Titans fan and as much as I hate to say it...it wasn't all Vince. Yes he can run but he still has problems throwing. Now that the Titans released Bennet, Henry, and Jones he will have a lot more trouble. If the team gets a great WR somehow then maybe he will be able to improve.

He is a good runner but needs to work on the passing. Better than Vick? Thats not saying much. Neither will be all pro unless they become better passers like McNabb did.

I'm a Longhorns fan and I doubt there's a fan in Texas who didn't know beyond any doubt that Texas would win the National Championship two years ago when they beat USC. We all knew it because we had watched Vince Young play. True to form, he took that game upon his shoulders -- and well, you know what happened. Here's something you can write down; Vince Young will take the Titans to the Superbowl within the next three years. ...and that from a Cowboys fan.

nope not at all. I got the pleasure of watching him at Texas. I saw him twice rally his team down from 30 points. In highschool I got to see him in the championship game in the playoffs throw a ball standing still 60 yards for a completion. he's gonna be way better than vick. In his last year at Texas, Young let the nation is pass effieciency.

No. The Texans are the stupiest team in the world for not drafting Vince Young or Reggie Bush. Just plain dumb. Everyone knew it.

Honestly, going from college to pro is a crapshoot. He has part of the job down, and he certainly has the athleticism, but he needs to improve the passing aspect of the game and let the wide receivers/ TE carry the load of getting downfield.

I like Vince Young, and that he can make plays with his feet, but he needs to get more accurate throwing the ball. It would help if the Titans had more people for to throw to though.
