It wouldn't impact my belief system at all. My politics wouldn't change and certainly my sense of self would remain the same.

If one lives ones life as if each day was the last, one would try to live a good life and one that concentrated on important things. So that would be the effect on me.
UFO just means unidentified flying objects. But would there be beings on the UFO? Visiting us? Maybe if there were contact with superior beings they could teach us something about religion or politics. That might influence me to change in those areas. But not my sense of self, because that comes from life experience. Good and bad must be universal in some way, but it is a nice thing to ponder. Hmmmm

I would not effect my belief system,I am a Christian, and that's that.
What it would do is effect my belief in intelligent beings outside of our solar system. If they were so advanced, why the heck would they want to visit Earth. I can't think of a more convoluted, self-centered, screwed up, political correct to the point of stupidity, place to visit.
I mean, there has to be other planets out there that have learned to get along better than we Earthlings.
Then again, if they are advanced enough to could bring some of that kumbaya spirit we are presently so lacking, then I say, "Turn right at Pluto and bring it on!"

First of all they do exist. Secondly it doesn't change my politics or my religion at all. My sense of self is as strong as ever. While having seen what I believe were UFOs I have never met any of the occupants of said UFOs. From what I have read that is just fine with me. Still they really don't bother me that much. I find it all fascinating.

I do believe in UFOS and I have for years! And they have been visiting earth for centuries! It does change your beliefs a bit. How can someone say that there isn't life out there? Space goes on forever and people actually think we are the only life in the universe? How stupid is that?

First of all, I'm convinced the government has concrete proof of alien visitation on earth, and possibly a crashed spaceship or two, such as from the Roswell incident back in the 1940s. (One of my college teachers made a very interesting point: the Roswell crash was in July, 1947, and the long awaited invention of the transistor... the basis for all modern computers and the gateway to the information age, was "discovered" in December of that same year! Coincidence?
If we could prove alien visitation, the radical Muslim terrorists would no longer have a religious pretext for their mayhem since their faith does not make any provision for life on other planets. In effect, the discovery of life on other planets would debunk the basis of their faith as ignorant mythology.
If our government has concrete proof of alien races, we should announce it to the world. As I said, these terrorists couldn't hide behind their religion anymore. Other worlds and other races would debunk their faith (and most religions, I guess)
If we discovered that aliens were visiting earth, we would put our differences behind us in a bid to drastically improve our society and technology to match the alien visitors. I think we would feel ashamed of being so technologically backward and having so many wars.
Regarding my sense of self, that would not change. Since I was a young kid watching Star Trek I believed in life on other planets.

it wouldn't change my politics or religion, or belief system. As far as sense of self, I'd want to meet the beings inside the UFO's, as long as they were friendly. If there are beings out there that have ships that can go across the galaxy, they have to be more advanced then us. Why not meet them and see if we can learn from them?

I don't believe in UFOs visiting earth because they would have to travel too far in the universe to get here but I do believe there is other intellegent life in the universe. If it were found that UFOs really do exist around our earth I would be very surprised but I don't think it would change my belief system or anything.

No it wouldn't change my views on politics or religion.
UFO's are man made right here on Earth. It stands for Unidentified Flying Object and militaries all over the world have secret planes.
Of course the universe is huge and we don't know much about it so its possible there is other intelligent life out there but the chances of us knowing about each other is almost none.

My politics? None.
My religion? None. There's nothing in the bible that says we are the only people in the universe.
My sense of self? I already consider Earth to be an insignificant speck.

If there ever were any UFO's visiting Earth, I can guarantee that they're long gone now. How many intercepted cellphone text messages do you think it took to convince them that there was no intelligent life worth looking into down here?
