I'm 25 years old and very overweight. I am currently trying to lose 50-60lbs., and am 5'10. I am going about it sensibly- eating right, cutting calories and joining a gym to introduce cardio into my daily routine, but am worried about my breasts. I have big, natural, round and perky 38DD breasts, and I fear that with losing that amount of weight, i will end up with deflated, floppy breasts with excess skin. My firm, plump breasts are my best asset, and although I should expect them to shrink, I am wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent them from getting saggy. Will losing the weight slowly (about 2lbs a week) prevent such? Will cardio alone help, or should I also do light weight training? I have also heard that tofu can improve skins elacticity. Anyone with some insight?

they are mostly fatty tissue and if you loose a considerable amount of weight they will droop some, surely your personality is your best asset

2 years ago I was 30 lbs heavier. I took off the weight slowly, my cup size decreased from a DD to a comfortable C. My breasts look a little deflated, but I think I notice it more than other people because I know how perky they used to be. I believe I could have prevented this if I had strength trained my chest harder throughout my weight loss. I'm currently doing more weights & pushups to lift my chest again :) Since you are only 25, I think the elacticity in your skin is not an issue unless you lose the weight too quickly. Good luck & buy wonder bras! :)

I fear that as well Haha. I would like to lose about 15-20 lbs. I'm really proud to hear someone trying to lose weight the right way. I hate when people go on these crash diets and expect to look good forever eating pills and sitting on the couch. ha ha. Yea only if it were that easy right! Anyways I would do some weight training along with your usual cardio. Start off with something like a 1-2lb dumbbell lay down on your back with your knees bent and lay your arms out straight to the sides holding the weights and just lift and touch in the middle above your chest. Just remember that running will ultimately tone up your body in general but weight training your chest is just an extra to keep your muscles toned in your chest. Um... cocoa butter lotion is great for skin.

I agree with the other posts. I lost about 50 lbs. and the girls did get smaller and weren't so perky but you're yound and your skin should bounce back. Just lose at a slow steady rate and be patient with your skin. It may take a whole year to see it tighten, but it will happen eventually! You'll love being lighter and healthier! Good luck!

Do light weight training, use the butterfly machine this will help to also perk your breast's up even better and more firm, you will lose a little but not much if you do the light weight training along with your cardio workout. And yes Tofu is very good for you, and good for your skin. Good Luck, although you will not need it, you are doing everything the right way.

possibly, but not definitely
i lost about 50 lbs a while back & only got 1/2 a cup size smaller... basically now i'm a solid DD where before i was between sizes. that's all the change i noticed in that area.

I recently lost weight and my boobs got smaller, I would say that started to droop but you might just need to get a smaller bra and maybe one with good support and you will be okay.
