I live in Los Angeles and would like to know of a radio station that plays Big Band 1940's Music. I can get this music on my cable TV stations, but I want it when I drive my car. Anyone know of one? I do not want to subscribe to XM Radio Thanks alot.

KRAK-AM 910 it's in the Antelope valley, so you may not be able to get it. Your best shot is to tune around the AM dial. LA is so big, depending on where you are, you can probably pull in a little station that will play your favorite standards.

Also, you will soon be able to get your favorite 50 from XM and Sirius combined for $6-$7/mo plus the cost of a dual receiver. This is probably a year or so away. Hope this helps.

Please enter "List of Los Angeles Radio Stations" in your browser. The second item down on the list will be "Radio>California> Complete list in Yahoo directory" click on that and it will list all Los Angeles radio stations, a brief description of their format, and a link the the stations website *(if available). Good Luck with your search.

There isn't one at the moment, the last one was am 1260 but that changed to classical music a few months ago.
