I've been using Golden Spectro 2 Stroke racing oil in all my 2 strokes mixed at 50:1 since 1980 (probably about 10 2 strokes in that duration) without any adverse effects with very good results when I tore in to the engine to do top ends after many (sometimes too many) hours of usage.

I have also tried belray, maxxis, yamalube, and several others mixed all the same way but these all seemed to end up slobbering unburned oil out the tail pipe excessively where the Golden Spectro had very little.

I'm not saying the others are bad, just that for me, I preferred the Spectro and have had very good luck with it.

oh yeah, if you are mainly trail or play riding, 50:1 ratio will be fine, but if you are racing or mixing it up pretty hard on a MX track, drop back to a 40:1 mixture for the additional lubrication under the more intense heat and friction by the higher RPMs.

hey dude
I had a few bikes all two strokes. I been using bell-ray MC-1 2stroke premix. I forgot the ratio of hand (I think its 50:1)but for a 5 gallon tank of pump gas, I put 1 bottle(12.8 oz) of MC-1 in it to mix. One 12.8 oz bottle cost abour $5. Its a bit on the rich side but your rings wont wear as fast w/pump gas. I dont race or anything so it works out pretty good.

I've only heard good things about bell-ray MC-1 & Maxima.
Personally, I use Golden Spectro - good lubrication, no smoke from exhaust, no plug fouling and it smells good LOL
Been using it forever and never had a problem.
Yama-Lube is good (there are 2 types Pre-mix & injector)
Don't use cheap crap from auto parts, hardware & department stores.
Use quality, brand name 2 cycle oil, made specificately for motorcycles.
Engine rebuilds cost money!!!

For non-racing (trail-riding) I have used the wal mart brand of 2 cycle oil in MX bikes and have never had a problem. I wouldn't race with it, but it is perfectly fine for trail use. As long as the oil meets NMMA TC-W3 specs, it is a good oil.

Klotz Super Techniplate. I love the way it smells when it's burning to.
