i'd love to live in europe purely for the culture and the scenery... the states gets so boring sometimes, and everything's so spread out in the southwest that it all starts to look the same. however, i feel an obligation to stay here at home and attempt to fix the damage my country has undergone in the last 6 and a half years.

maybe a couple semesters abroad will do me good.

I have been to Germany and France several times for work. Its a nice place to visit, has a huge amount of history (I am a history buff), its extremely beautiful in some area, and overall I had an extremely good time there. But the people have the same complaints about their governments as we do.

After being there several times, I would not want to live there. Despite our country's problems, we have so much more here in the USA and I am looking forward to exploring our history here in the states.

I would like to live in London or Paris, for similar reasons I'd like to live in New York City (I'm a big city person): culture, constant stimulation, people/restaurants/neighborhoods from around the world.

But I would prefer those two over NYC for the sheer sense of history they have. NYC is, what, maybe 300 years old? I'm not sure. But London and Paris are cities which have seen history up close, and personal, and that excites me.

Plus, in Paris, I could actually be a Socialist and not be mocked for it.

I loved living in Europe. I only came back to the states because my daughter is 3rd gen only child, I felt I owed it to my family to come back. Wish I had stayed!

Loved the people, the culture, the food, the economy. EVERYTHING! I had a job and was doing very well learning the language and was even starting to be able to read it too. I love the deep history of European cities and pride in the culture.

*raises my hand* I would definitely live in Europe. Infact, i'd much rather live somewhere like Europe or Canada over The United States ANYDAY. Its not the land of the free. Its a scam.

I would live anywhere in Portugal [even the Azores]! They have the best food & wine, scenery, beaches, and people in all of Europe!

I wouldn't want to live in Europe. If it was so good there then why did my ancestors decide to come to The United States.
I was born in The United States and unless I die in a foreign land defending freedom, I'll die in The United States

No.
Too much government.
Too many taxes.
Too many people whining about what government isn't giving them.
No thanks.

Edit: I almost forgot the ridiculous housing costs. On my salary, I wouldn't be able to afford a place a third the size of the house in which I'm living here.
