m 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I know exactly when I got pregnant and used temeprature tracking, so my dates are not off. My HCG levels were checked last week and they were normal and going up appropriately. The last level was at 5778 and by the time the level reaches 2000 there is at least a sac. Today the doctor did a vaginal ultrasound and couldn't find anything, not even a sac. She looked in the tube and on the ovary and all's she could see was small cysts. I'm going to the radiology department tonight for a better scan. Has anyone had this happen and what was the outcome. Thanks you.

My levels today came out as 24,300, which are normal and doubling as they should.

I had this happen to me with my son. I had a grapefruit size cyst and they told me they couldnt find the baby. They kept telling me to abort. I waited about a week and then they found him. But for that week they were really mean about it. Just wait it out. They had to use a special ultrasound machine and that was it.

something is definitely despite your knowledge of the conception date. if you are indeed 6 wk and 4 days, your bhcg should be much much higher and you should see a sac and a baby with a beating heart. so, either you are wrong about the conception date or it is an abnormal pregnancy. BTW, if the hcg is 5778 and your doctor does not see a sac, it is probably not a normal pregnancy or your doctor does not have a very good ultrasound machine. sac should be very easy to see with that hcg level

I haven't heard of this happening before, but then again I'm not a doctor so that is not saying much. I have heard of such things as false pregnancies though. This is where your body convinces itself that it is pregnant but you actually aren't. I wouldn't worry about it until after you have the better scan. I hope my answer doesn't scare you or cause you more worry. I know how worried I would be if it were me! I just wanted to let you know that I will pray for everything to turn out Ok for you. Good Luck and God Bless!

I was a month and 1/2 pregnant when I was in so much pain, I had to go to the doctors in the middle of the night. Come to find out I was pregnant in the tubes, which meant there was not going to be a baby because the baby was not in the womb...Could this be your problem????
Just a thought....Good luck !
