I think its just part of the game.
But the beauty of it is, it gets awfully silent when its the same team that people were laughing at that are the ones holding up Lord Stanley.

I agree it's part of being a fan. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
I've seen the "It's not windy in Buffalo but the Leafs still BLOW" sign at several games, even when they're not playing the Toronto.
When your team gets associated With suckin' it up enough to earn a nickname like the DeadWings, that makes victory all the sweeter.

No, I'm a Wings fan...people make fun because their jealous. Now If my team was awful, I would care because what can you say in response? But I love watching Toronto play. Especially if the team they're playing is Detroit. Best sports rivalry in my opinion.

okay maple leafs suck.
there once was a boy,living in toronto, who had to go to court and the judge asks him do you want to live with your dad.
the kid responds no he beats me, then the judge says how about your mom, the boy says she also beats me.
the judge asks then, who do you want to be with them.
the kid says, THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS THEY DONT BEAT ANYONE

I find it much more entertaining to poke fun at players names such as chew my salamie, Joe Saklic, and Rob and Scott Oscar-Mayer. Team names are boring.
