Nope, still Red Sox and Yankees rivalry. The 6 games where they face each other later in the season sure are looking HUGE right now! I don't hate any fan that is a true fan and honest about their team. Now if someone is a jerk and just constantly say..my team rules and yours sucks..I don't like them.

The Yankee-Red Sox rivalry is the biggest rivalry in sports, and will remain that way for the foreseeable future. It dates back to the Babe Ruth "trade" and has been building ever since. Many things go into this rivalry. The Yankees and Sox are Perennial Favorites for the playoffs, year after year. They are 1 & 2 in Payrolls. They are located in two of the BIGGEST baseball cities in the Country. They have EPIC baseball moments (Carlton Fisks "wave it fair," "Mr.October," "Bill Buckner") and have had around 25pct of Cooperstown on their roster at one point or another. Unfortunatly, the Blue Jays don't have the History and they also don't have the Fan Base. Yankees-Red Sox FOREVER!!!

I don't hate Red-Sox fans, my mom's whole side of the family are Boston fans, so are some of my best friends and 2 ex-girlfriends. We frequently disagree, but it never spills over into personal hatred, I hate the Red Sox, not the fans, or even the individual players (except Manny). The Red-Sox - Yankees rivalry will never be over unless one team falls to Devil Rays level futility. As for Toronto being the new Yankees rival; they are just holding a grudge for a stupid play. I don't think it will carry on any further, the Yankees are in contention and they cannot afford to have suspensions at this point.

Red Sox - Yankees rivalry is the GREATEST in sports. It will NEVER die; or at least until GOOD (Red Sox) conquer EVIL (Yankees)! We'' set them back this year and do away with them next year!
I HATE the TEAM, not the fans (except the morons). Wait, that its 75% of the Yankee fan base!

Lmfao.
Stupid Canadiens saying they can play baseball.
No...It's not over.
And hate to tell you...It will never be over.
Just because you have this one series where they played some rough baseball you think it's a rivalry?
Ha.
And just because the players don't HATE eachother doesn't mean they don't hate the other team. For example. Kielty wouldn't go to the Yankees even though they offered him more. And the fans despise eachother.
The rivalry is still strong.
Think about just recent incidents.
V-Tek/A-Rod fight.
Martinez/Steinbrenner...Lol...that was funny.

as far as the players go then yeah the jays and yanks hate eachother more right now. but the redsox yankee rivalry is still the best. its about respect and competing for the division and the pennant every year. the players dont hate eachother except for maybe arod and varitek. but varitek is gay so who cares. schilling is a moron too. but alot of em are friends off the field. the fans will always hate eachother but thats what makes the rivalry so great. and of course theres that little issue of the yankees winning 26 WS to bostons what was it again oh yeah 1 WS the last 86 years.

The rivalry continues due to the location of the teams, the history of the teams and most of all the red sox fan, they can not be happy unless they are negative. And its easy to hate the Yankees because they are so good.

I'm a Jays fan, but it's tough to have a rivalry with the Yankees because they finish way above us in the standings every season. I'd love to see it turn into a big rivalry, but the Jays need to improve before that happens.
