I've heard it's possible to become "revirginized" is that true also?

No. There is no way she can tell if you have had sex by looking at you. But you should tell your doctor if you are sexually active she won't care and she won't tell anyone else. It's just for your health that it's important she know.

You can't become "revirginized". You are a virgin if you have not had sex. Period. It doesn't have anything to do with your hymen if that's what you are asking. The hymen does not grow back.

Yes, the OB/GYN can tell if you've had sex regularly, because you'll be more stretched out than you would have been otherwise. However, if you've only had sex once, it should still be relatively tight, and there is a chance she wouldn't know, but you should always be up-front with your OB/GYN about how many sex partners you have had and whether you're sexually active, because those things could potentially affect any test results you may get. Besides, there is doctor-patient confidentiality, which means a doctor is not allowed to share any information you told him/her with anyone else, not even your parents, so if that's what you're worried about, you can stop worrying.

As for becoming "revirginized," there is really no way to erase the emotional side of the experience. Physically, there is a terrible surgery which should be outlawed, in which the doctor actually makes a couple of little stitches in your vagina to "close" it back up the way it was when you had a hymen, but it is very risky and, I'm told, quite painful,m not to mention costly. Besides, many women break their hymens years before they lose their virginity, doing things like gymnastics or horseback riding (I'm pretty sure I broke mine doing the splits in dance class at age 10...there was some blood) so because of this, most gynos don't look for the presence or absence of a hymen to determine virginity. This is also the reason that plenty of first-timers don't actually bleed.

Bottom line: You're fine to go to the OB/GYN and be up-front and honest, and you should probably ask for some birth control methods while you're there, to be safe.

Having ones virginity restored is very popular in Japan. As far as an OBGYN being able to tell, not usually. Many women's hymens are broken in the activities of daily life, not by sex. So just the absence of a hymen doesn't prove anything. About the only way for them to be sure is if you had sex recently enough for sperm to show up in the pap smear.

While you CAN get your hymen reconstructed, why bother? Its not like your village is going to take you out and stone you for not being a virgin or something.
Reconstruction would only be a physical thing anyway...once you've had sex, technically you are NO LONGER a virgin, no matter how many times you have your hymen rebuilt. If you like lying and are into being dishonest, then by all means.....

BTW, a woman can tear her hymen by a sharp fall on the butt, by using a tampon, by riding horses, and SOME women are even born without hymens, so there you go.

Welcome to the 21st century.

The obgyn can tell if you no longer have a hymen (the skin that beaks when you have sex) but lots of things can break a hymen like tampons or excersize. As far as "revirginized" I dont think thats possible.

Just let your mother know that you are now 18 and feel as though you should do that (go back in the room) on your own. Also, there may be some questions that may come up that you may want to talk to the doctor about that you may feel will be embarrassing to ask around your mother. After the doctors appointment, you can tell your mother the truth when you feel it is the right time.

I don't think you can get "revirginized" naturally, but maybe with surgery. I don't know about it.

The OBGYN can't tell for sure if you've had sex, but if you have you need to tell him/her. The more the doc knows about what's going on down there, the better care he/she can take of you. You need to be checked for reproductive health, STDs, maybe talk about birth control, etc. It's all confidential, so it's silly to lie anyway.

They can tell if your hymen is broken, but many things can cause that break (including sports, falling, etc). Just avoid sex 24 hours before your exam so there is no sperm present. You can be revirginized by having a new hymen surgically created. It really isn't worth it.

i think both are yes... except to be revirginized, i think they can rebuild the hym*n but its not going to be like a real born again virgin, you know what i mean? it's all technical and cosmetic. fake. liek you can be a D-cup with surgery but your not REALLY a d cup. it doesnt count
