I need to get my hands on some slightly dirty balls. I heard they are better for tossing on the field. Is this true?

You have the get special rubbing mud used by MLB teams. Equipment managers rub the baseballs with the mud before each game. It is to give the balls easier to throw and grip.

O.K, you should know by now not to ask questions like that on here, all the gutterminds will respond. MLB used to have 1 guy who was responsible for getting the special mud to rub them up with, I don't know if he still does it. He wass getting the mud from the Mississippi River. If you can't get that, i guess any type of river mud would work. Sorry I have not been here lately, the job is keeping me busy. Take care my friend....

I sure hope you are just being vulgar. Because if you are talking about throwing a home run ball back on the field - you better not do it. Sox fans keep the ball. US Cellular is not Wrigley.

um... players like to play with dirty balls... but every game the balls are brand new... there is someone who dirties the balls before the game. it gives the balls a used look.
