Be independent do not be for any political agenda, but what you care about. Your name Who Cares, you care and that is important.Check out AARP I know you might think it is just for old people, but they have an advocacy program that you can voice your opinion on health care and politics it is important that we all care about what happens to this country and it's people because if we don't than we are the ones that will suffer.
You can read some of my questions there was also a link to how you can write and voice your opinion to your local government. They may have internship openings too. Always keep your eyes on what goals you want to achieve and go for it. We need good people in politics that care about the people they are serving.

To me answering questions on this site isn't being more involved it just a guilty pleasure. To be more involved in Politics I would suggest writing to your congressmen, writing to the editor of your local new paper and becoming familiar with the Constitution.

Start contacting your elected officials. If you have a party affiliation, contact the party office. I've registered as "decline to state" party affiliation because both parties have serious problems, so I contact my congressmen directly.
