I'm 5'7 and am pregnant with my 2nd child. I'm naturally skinny as well as my mom. With my first child I gained 25 lbs and had trouble gaining that. With this child I have gained about 30 lbs and had trouble gaining this until now. Once I had my 1st son the weight I gained came right off. I never worked out or anything during the pregnancy. I have no stretch marks from either pregnancy. Just eat healthy and you will be fine. You need to gain 25 lbs at least for the baby to be healthy. Don't obsess over it you will be fine.

Part of it depends on your age. If you are in your early 20's or around that, then your skin will snap back nicely. Don't gain too much weight....25 to 30 lbs. at max....and you will be fine. If you gain more than that, you'll probably have some stretch marks. If you are older, you will certainly have some stretch marks and stretched out skin. But it's all worth it, you'll see. You will love the baby so much you won't care much. If you keep exercising, you'll look great no matter what!
Keep it up! It's different for each person.

I was in great shape before I got pregnant w/ my first child. I did gain 60lbs (thanks, in part, to preeclampsia) during that pregnancy. As far as stretch marks go, it really just depends on if you are genetically inclined to get them. Does your mom have them? If not, you probably won't. I lost all of my pregnancy weight but I never got back to 100%. There was a tiny little part of my lower stomach (almost as if I had a c-section, which I didn't) that I never could get back to pre-pregnancy shape. This may not be your case though, a lot of women are able to do so. It really depends on how hard you try and how determined you are (don't forget genetics!). Good luck and congratulations!!

no one can predict what if you will get stretch marks or not, if your mom had them chances are you will. YOu can get a 6 pack back, but it may not be 100%, the stomach muscles seperate in pregnancy, so it takes some work to get them back in place. But you can definatly keep in shape while pregnant, its great for you and the baby, and makes for an easier delivery. Follow your drs advice, don't over do it, listen to your body, and have a great pregnancy!!!!

You can totally go back to what you looked like b/f. Keep your skin moisturized to reduce stretch marks, cocoa butter, Maderma skin care, etc.
Make sure you're not so obsessed about it during your pregnancy that you harm your baby, though. Talk to your Dr about allowed exercise.
Better to work hard after baby is born, than go too far while pregnant, and damage something.

I have a friend who is a dancer. She had an awesome stomach. Then she had her baby. Yes, she got stretch marks and her stomach does not look like it did before. And guess what? She doesn't care. She's just happy to have her daughter. Congrats on your pregnancy.

when i first got pregnant i was 5'8" and 127lbs. i was very skinny. and i gained 50lbs with my first child. I religiously slathered cocoa butter cream on my stomach after every shower and i only ended up with two tiny stretch marks that are not noticeable at all. so maybe you should try it too. hope this helps.

I did must purchase new pants to suit my wider hips. I now have a curvier, extra female determine. I love my publish being pregnant frame, and the curves it gave me. My bra measurement truthfully lowered...hm.... I was once a measurement four, now a measurement 6 at five'6". I can nonetheless put on the identical measurement blouse and panties. Only my bra measurement and hip width is specific.
