You can go to the post office with the money order number and they can tell you if it's been cashed. Other than that, e-mail the seller and ask him.

You don't, unless the seller notifies you. Most of them don't do that, so paying by money order is a risk. I've only done that twice in the years I've bought things through eBay, and that's because those particular sellers would not accept PayPal. After a bobble, in which I did finally get what I paid for, I decided I would never again buy from someone who doesn't accept PayPal. The seller is safe, the buyer is safe, and the money exchange is safe. You might think about that and look closely before you bid on something. PayPal will be shown by the P in a circle by the item.

With money order transactions, you don't know! E-Bay, like other auction sites, have it in their Terms and Conditions that you should NOT pay by cash or money order. If you get ripped off, you lose all and E-Bay have no legal jurisdiction to protect your money (refund it). If you pay by credit card, you can get your money back from the card company and they will ahve to chase it up to recover their loss. If you pay by Debit Card, most accounts will not protect your money but you will have evidence that they received the funds (Bank Statement) and when they received them. If the person, that you sent the money order to, is honest, you'll know he / she got the money when your goods arrive. However, it's highly likely that you won't see your goods or your money. They'll have your order cashed, along with others. In future, only pay by Credit Card, Debit Card or Cheque.

ask the seller if he had received the payment.
It's a good thing to pay by credit card or paypal because you are protected from fraud sellers. you don't get that risk protection in cash/M.O.

well you need to go back and click for assistance and state your problem the most you have against them is the evidence that you made the payment so what you need to do is send a copy to the assistant that helped you on ebay and let them tell you if the payment was made
