I'm 21, took a blood test for pregnancy, it was negative. I accidently skipped 3 or so days on my birth control pills and stopped taking them and planned to start taking them again when I had my next period- which has not come since. I don't know if that is the reason or not. My Mom tells me its because I lost so much weight- but I lost all the weight like 1 1/2 almost 2 years ago, would that still effect my cycle? I'm not really having any stress.. any help is appreciated!

It means you need to see a doctor.

It could be that because you came off the pill that your cycle is a little messed up due to all the hormones being messed. But speak to your gyn just to make sure all is ok

You should have read the pamphlet that came with your pills on what to do with 3 or more missed pills.

Most likely it will say to throw out that pack and start a new one fresh.

However since you stopped, it could take some time to get your cycle back.

You say you stopped your birth control? It can take a while to get back on schedule. Up to four years. I wouldn't freak out yet. Try drinking a small glass of soy milk every morning and see if the natural estrogen in that helps kick start your hormones.

I would pay attention to my sleeping and eating habbits too, after all, it's a cycle, and if it's abnormal, so is your period. My mom lacked one for six months because she worked the night shift and had trouble after she got another job >.<

That was all the reasoning I could think of, I'm sorry if it wasn't too helpful X.x

When I was dieting my periods were very abnormal, I would skip like 2 months. Or it could be stress, alot of stress has alot to do with it too, sometimes you don't know you are stressed but you really are. Check with your Dr.
