You need to wear a tampon if you plan on getting in the water. Your period does not stop while you are in the water, no matter what anyone else may tell you. The pad will fill up and look like a diaper, and it will start leaking as soon as you get out of the water.

Don't wear a pad unless you wanna feel like your wearing a soggy diaper. Wear a tampon. Also your flow is less when you are in water. Watch out for the sharks! J/K

If you go in the water wearing a pad, the pad will absorb the water instead of your period. I recommend using a tampon instead.

It's better if you DON'T wear a pad... they break down in water and are bad for the water. Plus it will get really big and bunched up... then it will fall apart and start coming out of your suit - very embarrassing.
If you cannot wear a tampon, then just wear the pad while you're out of the water, take it out before you go in the water... then put on a new one after you're out of the water again.

you could wear a pad, but it will just get full of water and not absorb any blood. but when you go in the water, your period will naturally slow down or even stop for about half an hour to an hour. dont spend too much time in the water, or it will start up again anyway. if you are comfortable with using a tampon, and your mom/doctor says you are ready to use one, then go ahead and use that. just take it out after 5 hours or you might get TSS.

yeah you can still go to the beach, but dont wear a pad cos it'll fill with water and start to dissolve and blood will go everywhere, if you use a tampon u'll be fine
but if youve never used one before, then judt note, they're really easy to slip in and they're really comfortable and you dont really notivce them, remember to leave the string hanging out (most people dont then it gets stuck and they get ill) and change it every 4-8 hours, they're alot better than pads

ONLY if you wear a tampon. A pad will blow up like a diaper.
Water DOES NOT Stop a period.
