Just got back from there a week ago. Take sunscreen. Carry water, everywhere. Biggest tip: stuff snacks into your suitcase for the hotel room. They will nickel and dime you to DEATH! I may sound like a cheap-o but I wish I would've at least stocked some breakfast bars in the bag.

Shows: GOTTA CATCH ONE SHOW AT LEAST!!! They have something for everyone's taste. From family to extremely ******.

Buy a monorail pass!!!!! Takes a little bit of walking to get to it but so much cheaper than Taxi's. I was shocked at how clean they were too! VERY NICE!

If you you're taking someone special....go to the Top of the World on night to eat. It's VERY romantic. VERY EXPENSIVE THO. It's at the stratosphere and the restaurant turns 360 degrees. It's beautiful if you get a clear night.

Tennis shoes!! Flip flops will not last on that hot pavement!

Stay somewhere on the strip. I stayed at New York/New York Hotel and Casino. All the Hotels have plenty to do. MGM was nice and Mandalay bay, too. Mandalay bay had an awesome pool area with a small wave pool. (Lots of kids tho...good if you're taking some...bad if you want quite relaxing fun).

The most lavish hotels in the world. The best gambling in the world. The best restaurants and clubs in the world. Some excellent sites to visit (e.g., Hoover Dam) that have nothing to do with Vegas. And of course, if you're into the dark side of Vegas (strip clubs etc.) it's never far from the surface.
