This was a weak draft year. That doesn't mean that none of these players will lack impact. Gone are the 80s where 60% of the first round draft picks made the team the next year. There was no Sidney Crosby this year, no Eric Lindros, and no Mario Lemieux. But there were a bunch of solid young kids who in time will be given the opportunity to prove the teams that drafted them weren't wrong.
Personally, I expect Esposito to make several of the teams that picked over him question their picks. Not since Montreal chose Doug Wickenheiser (20 teams fell off their chair and suddenly put Denis Savard at the top of their lists that day - and we got him!) do I think teams will be second guessed.

Eric Lindros was the wave of the future. Statistically speaking, he is among the top players to play the game. Don't be surprised when he makes it to the Hall of Fame (superior stats to Cam Neely and Pavel Bure). Injuries suck..........just ask Bobby Orr, Mike Bossy, and the three players above.

well Turris is Going to be playing this year at Wisconsin and Van Riemsdyk at New Hampshire so that are not going to be in this rookie class. look for Kane to be the second best rookie on his team after Toews. Esposito is not NHL ready he struggled a little last year in the Q. Look for Jakub Voráček in Columbus to do well as his team is lacking a lot of talent. He could be a second liner with Zerdev and Brule

I hope that Esposito does amazing in Pittsburgh, because of all the teams that picked over him. There was maybe 10 guys i would have picked over him. Kane will have a good chance to do well in Chicago as they are bringing back a good team. Same with VanRiemsdyk in Phili as they are looking better. Phoenix just does not seem like they want to compete. I don't think Turris will fare well there. Others, we'll just have to wait and see. This could become one of the most underrated drafts. It's hard to tell what a player will do in the pro's before he gets there. We all thought that Lindros and Daigle were the wave of the future. No one really knew or cared who Zetterberg was, and 209 players were drafted infront of him. We'll see what happens.

Carey Price. He will earn a spot in camp, take over the starting job 20 games in, and eventually win the Calder after backstopping the Canadians into the playoffs.
Disclaimer- I also said that Anze Kopitar would run away with the Calder before last season started and he didn't even get nominated, so take it for what its worth. lol.

I think Turris is going to be a huge star. He will probably stick this year and will be in serious contention for the Caulder trophy. Kane is iffy to me becuase he is so slight in build. we'll' see on the others.

Yes, but it will take a few years for them to start racking up the big points.
