Arkansas is a beautiful state, we were going to move there when I was a kid. The answer to your question is probably the same reason we didn't move. It is very hard to find work there, hardly any jobs to support a family, I guess if you are from there it would be different. My ex is from there and his parents loved it there too, but they had to leave because again, there was no way to make a living. Good Luck to you!!! Hope it works out. I would be so jealous!!

I suggest that if the property values in Arkansas are low as well as the local taxes you stay in Arkansas.
Please don't come to California. The lowest cost for a 2-3 bedroom house outside major areas are about $275,000 or higher. In the city of Los Angeles houses are higher.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

Delaware has no sales tax and an extremely low belongings tax, because of the fact the state alternatives up the tab for many college district costs. the valuables tax on a $100k is in simple terms around $2 hundred according to 365 days. Plus earnings tax isn't intense while in comparison with neighboring Maryland and Pennsylvania. How. First enterprise expenses pay a reliable chew of state earnings. comparable is going for monetary enterprise incorporation costs. Plus taxes on the state's 3 casinos pay over 5% of the state's funds. unlike different states, lottery proceeds bypass into the state widespread fund.

If you still want to live in Arkansas, it depends on where you want to live. In a city(which there is little of), gas and clothing is low but housing is high. Near a lake, gas is high and (depending which lake) housing is high. In a small town, housing about everything is low except gas. So if you don't like that than try another state.

bettie - it is all relative
some areas of the nation the property will be cheaper but you pay through the nose for high winter and summer bills.
other areas have high property costs but have nice weather all year long and their heating and cooling bills are lower.
food is also relative..depending if you are a farming state or if the food / produce has to be shipped long distances.
medical can also be one of those relative factors...if there are a lot of drs...then the price may be lowers...
it is all relative and you know "supply & demand"
good luck :)

Usually states make it up some how, whether is be higher wages, higher income or sales taxes, higher license plate fees etc. Six of one, half a dozen of another. Food is the easiest place to cut costs.
