My girlfriend's daughter has a 95 or 96 cavalier 2.2L automatic. It has been stalling when stopping. This has led me to believe it probably has a bad Torque Converter Clutch solenoid. I have seen a lot on unplugging the harness and see if it quits to help decide if that's the problem. My question is this, where is the wiring harness to unplug? What does it look like, etc...

Had a friend tell me that some of the wiring harness contain the shift control wiring also if it is a larger round plug. Does anyone have a wiring diagram showing which wires on the larger plug would control the tcc?

It will either be on top of the trans. or on the left side of it close to the radiator. There should be several wires leading into the trans. Good luck.

It doesn't even sound like a transmission problem. A rattle or noise in gear could be just a bad motor mount or exhaust rattle. And what solenoid or you talking about?? You need to take your car to someone who knows what he is talking about.
