I'm wondering because I wanna know if it would be cheaper for me to just rent a car versus all the taxi rides with 4 people. Also, about how much is it from the strip to the airport in a taxi or shuttle service?

I just got back from Vegas a month ago. It is really easy to get anywhere on or off the strip. Depending on how much traveling you plan to do away from your hotel and events, you might want to consider renting a car. But if you don't plan to go anywhere far then take a cab and split the fare between you and your friends (that right there will be the cheapest way to go). I don't remember seeing the Palms, but along the strip to get anywhere you can always ride the monorail, which is very cheap. And to answer your question from the airport, if you get the shuttle included with your airfare, it's only $10. If not, I'm not sure exactly how much it is, but I'm sure it's right around there.
