Abortion debate is based on a lie.

The lie is about when life starts. Life is continuous, from sperm and ova to old people, we are alive. Life does not start, life is continuous. This is a biological fact. Anyone who states that life starts at conception, or at birth is wrong.

Abortion debate is about fixing blame.

The #1 cause of abortion, is was, and always will be the stigma on unwed mothers from the religious right.

Never debate abortion by countering what your opponent states.

Abortion debate is about WHO may decide who may have or may not have an abortion. The government, by laws, a medical doctor, the pregnant woman, or her parents if she is a minor.

Who decides? Do you trust the government to make that decision?

A solid reason to make abortion acceptable in society, is that the unborn living human will die anyway, and will kill the mother also unless the abortion is performed.

Consider the parallel analogy of blood donations.

Someone cannot be compelled to donate blood, or bone marrow -- even if their refusal to do so results in another person's death. Why? Because one person cannot be compelled against their will to give bodily fluids for the benefit of another.

In the case of pregnancy, the woman is giving bodily fluids and nutrients out of her own body -- for the benefit of another. But she cannot be compelled to do so, in the same way that someone cannot be compelled to donate blood -- even if her refusal results in a death.

The solution to the abortion debate is to find medical alternatives, so that the embryo or fetus can be taken out of a woman and put in an artificial incubator. That way, the woman still has the right to choose whether SHE is involved in the process or not, but her choice doesn't decide whether the unborn lives or dies.

I am always interested in hearing from men on this issue since they do not have to live with this unless the father.

I also find most of those male opinions to be at least to some degree hypocritical on both sides of the debate.

I have a very strong opinion on the issue but keep it to myself until I am personally involved, and believe that is not a bad strategy for most men to adopt.

Abortion is wrong! No one denies that! But it is a necessary evil!
If a child i raped,or a woman is raped, and they become pregnant? Why should they be forced to go through a traumatic ordeal, when they don't have to?
and it is better to have RoevWade, rather than the alternative of back alley butchery!

1. It has no effect upon anyone else but the family involved...

2. It is less cruel than the mass-produced meat industry most of you find highly acceptable. Animals slaughtered are fully ddeveloped individuals, whereas fetus' are not developed.

We live in a society now where anything goes, and everything is okay - just look at the model that so many dems hold on a pedestal . . . Mr. Clinton himself . . . . They are the ones who say that it is acceptable, and now so many more have fallen into the trap where pleasure is better than responsibility.

There is none and I can't figure out how anyone connects it to blood donations.

Killing an unborn person that was conceived as the result of a crime is truly punishing the innocent.

There is no solid or logical reason for the murder of the unborn!

What does a blood doner have to do with murder?

Hahaha! That's the silliest thing I ever heard cory...

azred_tx - do you think that killing a unborn Innocent baby will erase the act of rape/incest????Have you thought about how that compounds the mental state of the mom to be? Hmmmm

Rape and incest victims should not be forced to bear the children of their attackers. This is "punishing the innocent" and is not a value upon which the country was founded.
