My husband and I finally decided o a name for our upcoming daughter... after lots of debating and disagreements. lol. My husband and I have WAY different opinions on our name likes, so it was a hard one. But alas, a consensus!

Kelsey Alyssa

I love the name, but recently have worried that it may be a bit "cutesy" when she enters adulthood? What are your opinions on that?

I absolutely love that name. You guys did a great job on picking that pne out. I think that name is very precious and will be just fine for her all the way through life. So many names we hear now days remind us of a certain generation. You know names like Betty Jean or Mary Anne. It makes you think of older women rather than a new baby or even teenager. My daughter's name is Riley Morgan and I felt the same way as you. I kept thinking... does it sound good together and will it be ok even when she is not a baby anymore? I think your little Kelsey Alyssa will be quite happy with her cutesy name for her whole life.

Congrats and Good Luck!

I think its adorable, it's feminine, without being overly cutesy. Not to mention how refreshing a more traditional name will sound on college applications in 18 years! With all of the added apostrophes, h, y, i's, not to mention that she probably will never have to correct someone from spelling or mispronouncing her name, unlike the 500 or so variations of Mckensie, that WILL be a relief!

Congrats and good luck!

I think its good. When she reaches adulthood she can call herself just Kelsey or just Alyssa. So don't fight any longer over names and call her your wonderful name you have picked. Don't worry I know lots of people with the name of Kelsey or Alyssa that are adults.

I think that it is a beautiful name! Congrats to you and your husband on the upcoming addition to your family as well as your agreement on a name!
I don't think that it is too "cutesy" for adulthood, besides if she doesnt like it, she will be like the many of us who go by a nickname!

It's a lovely name and Kelsey is not too "cutesy" for an adult. Congratulations on your forthcoming new addition.

Not at all! I think it's a lovely name! :) And if she does end up feeling to "cutesy" when she's an adult, she could always go by "Kelly" "Kels" "Alyssa" or "Lyssa" or something. I think it's a great name because it's beautiful as a whole, and has TONS of variations for nick names. :)

I have a friend and her sister's name is Kelsey. I think if that is what you like, you should name her that. I think it is adorable, but will be a great name for an adult as well!
