To "brettj666," yeah I realize that Ryan's at best a .500 pitcher. In his prime thought, no one's fastball was more devastating. I guess he is purely a sentimental choice. If I had to choose a replacement, I'd go with Dwight Gooden in his prime (and sober state).

Walter Johnson, Sandy Koufax, Lefty Grove, Tom Seaver, Roger Clemens. Wow. that query have been given tougher the greater desirable i presumed approximately it. different than for Walter Johnson, you're able to desire to interchange 4 of my appropriate 5 grownup men off the record with stable argument and be precise. Rivera is an stunning pitcher. yet for motives i do no longer care to describe, relievers do no longer carry as plenty weight with me as beginning up pitchers.

On a personal note;I think that anybody that includes Ryan but neglects to include Seaver on their list doesn't know what the hell they are looking at

Edit to asker. You do realize that with Ryan's 2:1 K:BB ratio (amongst the worst ever) and that he's a .500 pitcher, your all time team is only 80% there.
