I was in labor for 16 hours and dialated to 4 when my son's heart rate dropped and wasn't coming back up. So I had to have a c-section. With my daughter I was in labor for 26 hours and dialated to 7 for 4 straight hours. I had only had one hours sleep so I couldn't take it any longer and the epideral didn't work. Anyway I'm pregnant again, and I really don't want another c-section. Has anyone succesfully had a VBAC after 2 c-sections? What was your first 2 labors like? Thanks in advance.

My situation is similar. My first baby was a c-section and after that I have had two successful VBAC's. Both of my VBAC's went very well with absolutely no complications and my recovery was so quick. I went home with the baby after 1 day. It was wonderful!

I found a lot of great information at http://www.vbac.com/ and also by reading The Birth Book by Dr. Sears. There's a whole chapter dedicated to VBACs with personal stories.

My c-section was caused by 9 hours of induced labor with no progress. I never dilated past 5 cm and baby didn't descend.

All the best!

My sister in law had a C section with her twins, the little boy was losing weight and they were concerned. She had vaginal births with her 2 subsequent children. 5 kids in all only the 1 C section.
