What Is A Good Narrative Essay Start?

I have three choices but I'm choosing this-A time I faced a challenge.Tell what happened and how I met or failed to meet the challenge.

The first sentence should restate the question. For ex, "Everyone is forced to meet challenges in their lifetime, and may overcome or fail to overcome them."

Second sentence is the beginning of your essay: for ex "In my own life, I first learned that I could overcome a major challenge with hard work and perserverence, when I..... " or "We all begin with small challenges, such as crawling, walking, and learning our first words. We progress to larger challenges, such as learning school assignments and how to play with others. Everyone should face a challenge sometime in their lifetime. I did, and I beleive that it greatly helped my self-esteem and confidence. I was a better person after I faced my challenge, and I'm glad that I did.

Kind of basic, but it's what most teachers want.
