open the folder that you downloaded the font to (unzip the font if it isn't already unzipped)

open the font folder in control panel

size them so they are side-by side

click the font you want to install and drag it from your download folder to the Windows font folder.

All done! :-)

font files for windows will have an extension of .ttf or .otf

Before you install the font, close any programs which you will use the font in, e.g.Word, if they are already running.

You should have a file called something.ttf. This may be inside a.zip file, which you downloaded. (Some fonts may be a .fon file).
If the .ttf file is inside a .zip file you need to copy it to another folder, e.g. My Documents.

Simply copy this .ttf file to the Fonts folder in your Windows folder. To do this open My Computer, double click on your C: drive, then double click on the folder called Windows, and locate the folder called Fonts.
You can drag the .ttf file to the Fonts folder or right-click on the .ttf file and choose 'copy' from the menu which pops up.Then right-click on the Fonts folder and choose 'paste'.
Windows may take a few seconds to install the font. You should now see the font in the list in programs like Word. Some fonts may not be displayed in alphabetical order and may be at the bottom of the list of fonts instead.
