well, i do have one son... so i wouldn't be able to compare between the two... but i was pretty sick w/ him... the "normal" sickness for the first 3 months, nausea/vomiting/couldn't keep anything down, except it was ALL day, not just morning or night...

the first day of month 4 the nausea went away, but i would still throw up constantly...

i had to learn a whole new way of eating, had to eat much slower, and often, like every 2 hrs or less... couldn't drink if my stomach was empty, had to eat first, couldn't eat anything acidic, NEVER could keep down grape juice or salad!
couldn't eat anything greasy, and unfortunately i HATED chocolate (and i'm a chocoholic)

as i got further along, i had to always carry snacks w/ me... or i would faint...i fainted twice in the store.. this was really embarrassing...

plus the constant heartburn, i would eat tums and a gallon of milk a day...add that with the still vomiting etc.. it was hard.

really interesting how that all panned out, i hope if i ever get pregnant again, that it's much easier, whether it be a boy or a girl :0)

I got the normal 1st trimester sickness and still don't know what I'm having yet. (I think it's a boy). I just wanted to give you another wive's tale I've heard so far

1. If you don't look pregnant from behind than it's a boy

2. If you are eating alot of sweets it a girl; Sour or tart foods means boy.

Good luck !! I find out on the 30th.

my first pregnancy was a boy and morning sickness wasn't too bad...lasted 2-3 months and only had it in the morning to noon time. And now with my current im also carrying a boy and my morning sickness only lasted 1 week but it was all day sickness. And it went away.....and it has return recently a couple weeks ago. I experience the nauseaus feeling every once in a while now.

I was the same with both my kids (boy & girl).

Some nausea but never actually got "sick".

I did have tons of heartburn with both, though, and contrary to the Wive's Tale, my babies were born bald, not with lots of hair.

wives tale or not it held true for me. I have one son and three daughters. I was not sick one day with my son but with all 3 of my daughters I was sick as a dog and lost weight the 1st three months of each of those pregnancies..... I think there could be something to it!

I've heard that girls cause more morning sickness than boys do. I've had no morning sickness at all, but haven't found out what I'm having yet. It does make you wonder, doesn't it?
