Christopher Cross had the big hit 'Ride Like The Wind', and 'Doobie
Brother' Michael McDonald sang background vocals on that hit.
I still get a kick out of this hilarious spoof from SCTV. Rick Moranis
plays Michael McDonald (and Jerry Todd):

I'm joining your club. Michael McDonald's voice grates on me and his songs are only memorable because they are so redundant and layered that they stick unmercifully in your brain for hours if not days.

I have 15,000 records, so I don't say that about too many artists.

That was freaking hilarious. I do miss SCTV. Considering that the movie The Forty Year Old Virgin ripped Michael McDonald a new ******, I would highly doubt we are alone.

He did kinda totally ruin the Doobie Brothers didn't he? I like about 20 songs of theirs from the pre-McDonald era and exactly ONE from after.....LOL I'm with ya on this one Rambo.
