If you want a strong machine, but don't want to buy too much money for it, then try to search for refurbished laptops. Before you buy look at the pictures of it, and decide whether it is good enough for you. They are usually reset to factory status so it's just great!

Try something from Dell. If u can wait until Thanksgiving, then you can get good deals on a laptop on black friday...and that will be under 500$ as well.

I like my Toshiba. However, it cost double what you want to pay. Try looking into a refurbished computer. Several PC repair places sell refurb computers.
