Yes, he would probably still be an @sshole, with or without the steroids. And I agree, he doesn't have a very good attitude.

I don't like Barry Bonds, cause I cheer for the Dodgers, but I don't hate him. Aren't people in the US innocent until proven guilty!!?? look at Hank Aaron, people hated him when he broke the all time record, but the reasons were different, he was black, I think in some way, yea this is about steroids, but people hate Bonds cause he's black as well.. He did not hit 756 home runs on steroids people are assuming he started around 2001 the year he hit 73, so you will have to take away 262 not 756.That leaves him with 496. Anyway If he is found guilty, them simply strip him from this tittle, but what if 10 years from now they can't find nothing on him! then people are going to feel stupid for hating him for no reason, similar to people hating Aaron back then, but now think he is great!
My last point, some pitchers are on steroids too, is harder for the fan to know. I thought Eric Gagne was steroids, when he got all those saves in a row and was throwing 100+ mph fastballs! Steroids have tainted the game, but we can't go blaming everyone that hits home runs!

I do not hate Barry Bonds. One of the things that people have not factored in to the whole Barry on steroids thing is that the modern hitter is facing an entirely different pitching staff than hitters in the past. In the old days, some pitchers pitched every day. They pitched with broken fingers, sprained wrists, etc. Naturally, physical impediments and exhaustion would eventually make them easier to hit off of. Now, if a starter throws 100 pitches, he's practically considered an invalid. Any pitcher a batter faces is likely to be fresh and at the top of his game. This makes hitting homeruns a great deal more challenging. IF Barry Bonds is on steroids, he has simply leveled the playing field.

He would be disliked either way, but possibly not quite as much. Barry Bonds was disliked long before the steroids controversy. He's just not a nice guy. He's a lousy teammate, he makes the clubhouse staff pick his jockstrap up off the floor rather than put it in the hamper, he's a jerk to the press, and he's surly to fans. I admire his talent, but honestly, what's the like about this guy?

I don't think he would be "as hated." And hate is a pretty strong word. I certainly don't like him. But hate? I'm not so sure about that.
With me, yeah, all the evidence suggests that he did use steroids, irrespective of his repeated denials. But I just flat out don't like his personality. He's a condescending jerk who thinks it is all about him and fails to acknowledge that without his God-given talent, he would be a nobody.
Professional athletes and really anybody in the public eye have such a wonderful opportunity to minister to others and they have more financial resources than most. They could do so much good in the world. But the reality is that most of them are self-serving self-indulgent jerks that have somehow convinced themselves they "deserve better" than most people.
David Robinson, the retired SA Spurs center is a beautiful exception to this rule. Putting aside his athletic accomplishments, I have so much respect for that man. Sadly, I have very little for most professional athletes.

Where has it been proven that he used steroids? Can you cite a failed test result?
Google it and get back to me with some facts please.
Or else shut up about the whole steroids thing. If you have no proof, then keep you hole closed.

Probably not considering that there are plenty of people who like him now, despite the steroids issue and his bad attitude.
