because he made a bunch of great stuff using his greatness, and put us on it to admire it and love him.

Asking for praise seems silly for us because we are unworthy but for God it's different. Praising him is a pleasure for us.

Think of your loved one, and how it feels in yourself when you tell them you love them. Part of making your love complete is in expressing it. So it is with our praise.
