Ooooh...that's a toughie...no, I don't think so - not just on p&s, but in real life; even the most open person always keeps just a little bit of themselves back - it's like a safety zone...I like to let people see my true colors, but it's never all the way, you know?

The anonymity allows people to say things they otherwise wouldn't say, ergo giving a deeper glimpse into their personaity than you would ever get if you met them in person, but it also allows people to pose as someone completely different just so they can be contentious. However, I think the former outnumber the latter; the internet offers just too good of an opportunity for people to really speak their minds without judgement from those they interact with in the real world.

I don't think you can get to know someone really well just by the answers they give on P&S. It takes time and patience to get to know someone. It's worth it in the end, but you can't rush it becsuse soemtimes, what you see, is not the real person.

100%, no, never. Everyone has things that they will keep hidden for their own reasons; some more than others.
I lived with a man for 3 1/2 years that I now realize I never really knew and he never really knew me as we both confused what seemed like good sex and mutual dependency to be a relationship in the beginning.

Depends on the questions they answer. I've made a few good friends through here and on my 360.

YES!,,If one would take the time to analyze anothers answer over a period of time one would be able to understand the other persons composure and interests and understand how they feel on certain subject matter.

As well as a person allows you too. Though its possible to recognize traits and patterns in a person's behavior that they themselves aren't able to see.

Not really... you don't know if they are being honest or not. You can catch a glimpse, though - and that's kind of intriguing, don't you think? Tantalizing, sometimes. :-) bbjo.
