EFP attacks are up and civilian casualties are up. Isn't this more proof that the hard work is being done, the insurgency is heating up and the fighting is getting tougher, just like our President Bush said? Seems like the surge is working?

President bush said it would be tough going from now on. We have to beat the Iraqi people into absolute submission. They must be terrified of us if we are to control Iraq. The heavier the violence the better.

Casualties are not measurements of success or failure of a military operation. That's just stupid beyond belief.
If the US and Britain didn't invade Europe in 1944, we'd have lost a lot less men in battle, but we wouldn't have won, would we?
The French army sustained considerably fewer casualties AFTER it surrendered than while it still fought the Germans. Should their surrender be considered a "victory"?
Goodness you lefties are dimbulbs!

And the mayhem continues. The only surge we need is at the polls next year. Throw the rascals out.

i heard a report from iraq today that stated quite simply that there were no iraqi troops fighting alongside our american troops.
we have left our troops in iraq to sort out a civil war, while at home there's a different war - to propagandize the war.
the surge is just another mistake in a long series of mistakes that no one seems to care about...

Again, we have a month singled out and used as an example. To do so is one of the statistical lies. You need to use a sliding average to determine trends. If you used your logic to play the stock market, you'd be broke before you know it.
