It's financial stability for me, but I'm still plugging away at it.

Oh, lots! Way too much to list here.

The way I look at it is that I am in the place, right now, that I was meant to be. I was meant to go through all those good and bad times, to take all those turnings that led me here.

If that means that I missed out on "dreams" along the way, I figure that I was meant to.

I am here to learn specific lessons in this life, and to learn them I need to be challenged in specific ways. This may mean that some dreams I had for myself got left behind.

This is not a bad thing. What is that country song (Garth Brooks?) that talks about unfulfilled dreams?

To be able to travel around the country and see all the beautiful historical sights that our own country has to offer. It would be so nice to sleep in a different town everynight. Live out of a well maintained RV and get to know my beautiful country. Now this is no longer an option because of the outlandish gas prices. It was a beautiful dream once. OH TO BE ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!

My dream was to be the type of grandma that was a part of my kids life. I would live within a few miles of my son, go shopping with his wife and grandkids. Go to soccor games and help with homework. I would always be available to babysit. I would teach my granddaughter to sew. We would have holidays together. And I wouldn't need to work. I would be there for them to talk to. I might just spoil them a little, too.

Reality is so much different than my dream. I work and can't see retirement in the near future. There are two states between us. This year I have seen them once, due to money and I went there. They have not been to see me in the two years that they moved. Well, my son did once for a weekend, to see his grandma in the nursing home and we paid for it.

I feel sad, depressed and somewhat angry about it, but my husbands is his step-father and has his family here. My son is the one who moved so far away for a better life.

I love to sail. I want to take my husband sailing so he can experience the tranquility and the excitement of being under sail. He loves power vessels. Me being a retired Ships Captain would just enjoy sailing with the wind in my hair. I hope to make this dream materialize in the NEAR future:~)

To have home of my own with a plot of land big enough to provide as much of my own food as possible. Still waiting for a miracle to happen!
