Nuvaring will not stop your current period. It usually takes 2-3 months for your body to become used to the hormones. During this time it is also common to experience period abnormalities. You will always have a period while using nuvaring, but they are usually lighter and may be shorter than a normal period.

You aren't suppose to stop having your period.

maybe you put it in wrong??? I bet if it's your first time, it takes a while for your body to get accustomed to it
