I found a wasp nest in a pipe at work, and am fascinated with it. I wanna poke it.

I'd use a pellet gun actually. I have a pellet conversion kit for my .22 my .357 and my .44 mag, so that would be fun! See, you don't want to hurt the house, right? But you want something that can do some damage. The problem is, if you are too close, those nasty critters are coming after YOU. So after some thought, I'd use my M1A from long range so the little bastards won't know who shot them. Mines got a flash suppressor and a cool scope. Oh, and bring the dog in too, would ya? You don't need vet bills.

Whoa! I got stung by 30-40 wasps all at once when I pissed 'em off when I was a kid. It was one of the worst things ever to happen to me. I would maybe try some fireworks in the pipe instead. More entertaining and for a few seconds, they won't know what hit 'em. Have fun!

Wear some thicker clothing, go and poke it, and then run as fast as you can! It'll satisfy your urge and hopefully minimize wasp stings. Or have someone else poke it as you watch. But then you wouldn't get a chance to poke it...

Ok, tie a plastic bag at the other one end of the pipe and poke the pipe with something that is just as round of the inside of the pipe.
