How can people sit on this earth and actually believe theres a heaven and a hell?

Well to the greeks there was no heaven everyone went to hell. they just went to different parts of it.

Cute hat! I've yet to take time to make a good avatar...
My theory: Sometimes people need the security of believing they're being watched over by some authority figure to keep them in line. Some of those people believe you can't lead a virtuous life or have any sort of morals without having some fear of punishment by some diety or another. I think that's a load of non-organic human waste.
I've found with myself and in raising my daughter the "Golden Rule" (which transcends all religion) is all you really need. It pretty much covers everything. I still consider myself a "goth" at 38 but I look pretty normal now. I use to get wingnuts coming up to me crying for my soul because they were convinced I was a Satanist (how can you be a Satanist if you don't believe in religion period?). I learned it's important to stay calm, speak your mind intelligently and kill them with politeness. It totally freaks them out when you don't get angry or snarky because that's what they're projecting in their minds. Also it helps if you feel you're being harrassed to ask them what church they're from and have a polite but direct phone conversation with their pastor about them.
Heaven and hell are here on earth and ENTIRELY human-made IMO! Cupcakes are just a little part of the heaven we can create for ouselves and others!

Who knows. I beleve that there is a hevan and hell, but i think that for the inbetween, we are just reincarnated as someone else until we are pegged at one of the areas.

how can people sit on this earth and not think theres a heaven and a hell, it take a lot less faith to believe that God exists and that the Bible is true and that this world has a creator than to believe that we all evolved over millions and millions of years from absolutely nothing that came from absolutely no-where
