They all are hopeless. "From the lecherous adulterer to the egomaniacal nut job to the flip-flopping opportunist with the perfect hair to the guy who hates brown people to the guy we've never heard of to the guy who has a better chance of getting hit by a meteor while being consumed by a blue whale being struck by lightening."

Visionaries seem to steer clear of politics these days. Idealistically, there would be a candidate or two like JFK in every election. But we have to stay real here. Last year the state I live in (Texas) held a gubernatorial election in which incumbent Rick Perry was re-elected with a mere 39% of the vote. Although the majority of Texans were tired of him, we stuck ourselves with him again by splitting our votes up. When there's no clear winner, we all loose. I can't tell others how to vote, or define for them what a wasted vote means. But by the same token, I have my own reasons for how I cast my vote. And in reality, it comes down to making hard choices about someone I may not like 100%.

OK gang...I see most all the answers starting with "sad" or "sadly". Lets get over this and do something supportive and in a positive direction. Doom and gloom will get no one anywhere fast. There's no one who is going to be Mr. or Mrs. perfect and answer all of our questions but most Americans agree that the present administration isn't even trying. They're caught up in their own greedy and suppressive agendas. I'm not falling for this crap and encourage you to make a difference.

As bad or worse than the incumbent?
You have no problem with the torture of innocents?
You have no problem with illegal wiretapping?
You have no problem with suspending of Habaes Corpus?
You have no problem with the largest deficit in US history?
You have no problem with a corrupt Judicial system?
You have no problem with the administrations contempt for the Constitution and Congressional oversight?
I have to stop now my hands are tired, but there are many more.

Sadly, it would seem so. We really need a leader that will not play to one party or the other, but will think of America as a whole.

True... the last thing we need is a candidate who will "continue to lead us on the path we're on now".

I agree 100%. Washington in total is a joke. Lets fire them all and move the capitol to Nebraska.
