Mom and dad. I always called my father, dad or da but my mother was my boss at one time in a restaurant so while there I called her by her first name - Louise. Now I call her grandma. I have no idea why.

I call my parents "Mommy" and "Daddy"....and I call my inlaws "Mom" and "Dad". My husband and I are blessed to have 7 of our grandparents still alive! We have "Nagymama" and "Nagypapa" in Hungarian. "Grandma" and "Grandpa" in English. "Nonna" in Italian. and "Nanny" and "Granddad" in ...well, not sure but think its American. Our confusion is that when Baby arrives...we've almost run out of names! We can "promote" grandma and grandpa to "Yiayia" and "Papou" in Greek. My great-grandparents were called that, which is why I only called my grandparents grandma nad grandpa to keep confusion at bay. Or we can keep them that, and call my parents Yiayia nad Papou. As for his parents, no ideas yet.

Mum and Dad.
Although if I'm trying to annoy my mum or if I'm angry with her, I call her Mommie Dearest, after the book 'Mommie Dearest' by Christian Crawford, the adopted daughter of Joan Crawford, who suffered years of mental abuse by her mother.
