i'm a little nervous, he got out of prison 4 months ago after being in there for 7 years for having sex with a minor. he says he is a good christian man and i think everyone desreves a second chance. just to be on the safe side, i'm sending my 3 year old to my mother's house.

I know you're kidding but I am not sure everyone else does. That is the problem with Yahoo Answers. People think you are serious. You could have just as easily said "I am having a velociraptor dinosaur over to dinner, should I put barbecue sauce on myself?"
Someone would tell you that dinosaurs are terrible mean creatures and get out now!

Just to be on the safe side, have a guy friend call your house a few minutes after your date is supposed to get there. Tell your guy friend that if you don't pick up to come over and a key will be under the mat. That way, if your date is creepy, you'll be okay.
I don't mean to scare you and I could be totally wrong, but someone has to know who is coming over and all about him for your safety.
I would just watch a movie at home. You can say your tired after the movie and send him home if you don't like him or if you like him, you can let him hang out for a while, but BE CAREFUL!!!

Okay just to be on the safe side you should meet him in a public place not your home...He just got out of prison what the hell you think is going to happen. A Christian man? that is what they all say when they are coming out of prison and then they go back to their old ways.....I should no i dealt with it for 3 years and i actually new him not from the internet. Go out and meet him dont make a big mistake. The worst thiong you can do is trust everything someone you met on the internet tells you especially from prison.....BE CAREFUL>>>

I dont think u should be alone wit him just yet evan though he says hes a good man that dosent mean its true u met this man online dont trust that. why dont u go to public place first or if ur into him for about a couple of weeks so if something happen u will have witness to what is going on and meet him dont let him come to ur house yet u have to get to know this person in person before u get close. remember u have a child if this man is crazy he could hurt u.

Not that I don't think that you are a mature woman, but since you do have a kid and all, that sounds like a little bit much...I've been a kid in that situation...wasn't very happy, in fact a part of me might never forgive my mom for what happened. (I'm not making this up, honestly.) But if you do really wish to see him and have a relationship with him take things VERY slow. The man my mom was with put us in debt 54,000 dollars, I don't know if I'm going to be able to go to college. And just a tip: Never leave your kid alone with him for a long time. Not because of his rep. but because of a new person factor. And if you really are going to see him tonight do something simple, maybe go to a nearby pizza place just to talk and get aquainted really.

I agree everyone deserves second chances, but that's a little extreme. I would never meet anyone in real life that I would talk to online. That could be very dangerous, I wouldn't take the chance, but that's your decision.

Um that's not the greatest of ideas inviting someone who just got out of prison recentley when you met him online and he is coming to your house. Go out to dinner in a crowded public place.

You both should have your heads examined. It is very dangerous to meet someone online and have them come to your house before first meeting them in a public place. It's just crazy and you should be more careful.
